Make Your Year Off Worthwhile With Teaching Jobs Abroad

Gap Years. Whether you are having a break before starting university, making the most of your retirement or simply need a break from your 9 to 5 routine, a gap year is a great opportunity to have new experiences. There are two types of break people normally choose from; a relaxing holiday-style experience or a productive skill-enhancing one. Whichever one you choose, it is the ideal opportunity to go to a place you have always dreamed about visiting.

If you are looking to combine fun in the sun with visits to historical monuments and architecture, a European tour is ideal. A lot of Europe is still relatively undiscovered my most Britains. In Italy you can find history, architecture, nature and glamour. Whilst Russia is no longer thought of as part of Europe, the culture is definitely different. Russia’s history is evident on every street as poverty and massive wealth live side by side. St Petersburg and Moscow are must visit cities where architecture, history and vodka combine. Exploring new places is what you should use you gap year for.

If you are in need of new skills to put on your CV that will make you a more attractive candidate for jobs, you can use a year abroad to do this. Volunteering projects have become very popular, as have teaching jobs abroad. A skill that employees are coming to value is teaching English as a foreign language, something you can do in a gap year. People with experience in different industries are good at teaching English as a foreign language as they have experience in communication, but Teflworld say that young and old alike make great Tefl teachers.

So do something out of the ordinary on your gap year. Sitting on your sofa for eleven months out of twelve with a couple of weeks in Magaluf doesn’t count as a gap year. Whatever you do, make sure you make some memories that you can treasure forever.
