The Biggest Loser Has Had Many Different Versions

Through the years there have been many different kinds of fitness shows that have been aired. People like Richard Simmons have built their empires by showing us how to sweat with the oldies or some other variation that we could watch. On television now people can tune into a show that is called The Biggest Loser.

Since it first came on the air, The Biggest Loser has helped people lose a lot of weight. People on the chow compete to see who can achieve the highest percentage of weight loss over the season. They don’t lose the weight by popping in a video that shows them how to do six pack ab exercises, instead they take them through a rigorous training regime that was originally designed for professional athletes who are getting ready to compete in the upcoming season. The results of the contestants are often amazing by the end of a season. The people who have competed shed an enormous amount of pounds and emerged much healthier than before they were on the show.

The Biggest Loser has had various themes during the time it has been on television. The first season had complete strangers competing against each other for the title of Biggest Loser. They have had versions where people who are related in some way come on the show and lose the weight together. There has also been seasons that had entire families competing against each other. The groups consisted of an even number of members competing against each other. Unlike the other seasons where there was only one winner, in this version the family that lost the most combined weight was declared the winner. The families were only spotlighted on two or three episodes before the winner was announced, so these families had to work together in order for them to learn how to lose weight fast and to allow them to lose more weight than the other team. Just like the regular versions of the show, teams had the help of two personal trainers and were given access to the health spa that the show has, but they did not get to stay there for the whole time.. The teams were shown how to look to the rest of the family to do the best that they could.

The families found out that losing weight as a group was easier than doing it alone, something that because of websites such as the biggest loser forum, have allowed others to also discover when they begin their weight loss journey. Having some type of support group makes the dieting process easier. If a person is trying to go through a fitness program alone, they will have a much rougher road than a person who has help. Working out with another can be much more fun. You are more likely to keep exercising if it is more fun. The show tried to show people the importance of having support. Obesity is often time something that is shared by several members of a family. This is partly true because a family will share the same exercise and diet habits. If these habits are not good, than a family will struggle with weight issues.

Families were able to change their bad lifestyles and start to diet and exercise when they were chosen to be contestants. By being on the reality show, the parents and the kids were bought together in a way that they had not experienced before. They also were able to spend more quality time together when they would exercise. This allowed them to get out as a group and support each other. It seemed that the weight loss of the other person became more important than the weight loss of the person themselves. It allowed this season of the Biggest Loser to be completely different than previous seasons.

The Biggest Loser Families has not been on for several years. The show has come up with different types of shows to keep its viewers entertained. Fortunately we will be able to see the Biggest Loser Families through the magic of cable television and the amount of hours that they need to fill with some type of programming.
