Christmas Music Puts Me In A Shopping Mood

Singing holiday music during the holidays often puts me in a greatshopping frame of mind. When I listen to christmas music, I become cheery and upbeat. With that feeling in the holiday season, I find that is the best time to shop for presents. Manyenjoy the snowy season and cold stormy days that helps us remember it is Christmas time, holiday music helps us envision scenes of snowy days that are commonly associated with the holiday season.

Holiday Music

  1. Happy Holidays
  2. Little Drummer Boy
  3. Silent Night
  4. Little Saint Nick
  5. Baby It’s Cold Outside

Many songs, like Baby It’s Cold Outside, paint a mental picture of a wonderful Christmas evening. The song Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire speaks of Jack Frost, dressing like Eskimos, children full of joy. The song White Christmas has lyrics about sleigh bells in the snow and the days being merry and bright. What could be better to put you in the holiday mood?

Others may whistle while they work, but I enjoy singing, or at least listen to Christmas music when I am shopping. I must admit, unless the kid is in tow, I prefer the classics sung by Johnny Mathis and Judy Garland. A couple of classic songs by those singers before, during and after shopping truly make it easier for me to cope with the holiday crowds when it comes time to buy gifts.
